On Friday, January 22nd, the boys hosted the Wildcats from Old Lyme. The Devils came out with a zone defense in the first period that proved to be ineffective, and trailed by five points after one. But s switch to tough man-on-man defense the rest of the way made a difference, and eight points each from Cam Powers and Kyle Wyskiel in the second period allowed the Devils to surge ahead with a 35-30 lead at the half.

The Wildcats were able to creep within five points with two minutes remaining, but the Devils hit on ten of thirteen chances from the free throw line, with Cam Powers getting seven of those, to come out with a 79-63 victory.

Powers led the Devils in scoring with 23 points, also leading the team in rebounds with nine and assists with five. Griffin Murphy and Kyle Wyskiel each scored 15 points, with Murphy grabbing five rebounds and Murphy four. Hunter Jameson rounded out the double digit scoring with ten points, and grabbed four rebounds. Jake Sapia had a nice game with six rebounds, five points, four steals and three assists.
